San Luis Obispo, CA – The San Luis Obispo Marathon + Half announces the road closures for the Inaugural race that takes place on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Below is the list and detailed times for the 26.2 mile street closures. The entire course roads will be closed to all vehicles, with the exception of marathon staff, emergency and special needs citizens at the below listed times. Please reference your area on the overall course map, along with the detailed road closure listing to see how you will be affected.

For the safety of the 2,800 runners and walkers participating, the marathon staff appreciates your support in finding alternate routes. The marathon and half marathon courses will be staffed all day by the San Luis Obispo Police Department and California Highway Patrol officers, as well as hundreds of volunteer Course Marshalls and Traffic Control.
We invite our neighbors and community to come out to support and cheer on our athletes as they make their way through our beautiful town. The public is also invited to the finish line and SLO Life Expo at the Madonna Inn/ Madonna Meadows.
